This is very, very difficult

We just spoke with Barney on the phone. He’s still got a headache, though he feels slightly better than before, and he sounds so down
I think this is the beginning of the hardest part of the exchange: the novelty has worn off, nobody’s speaking your own language to you anymore, the next few months are stretching out ahead of you… he didn’t cry during the call, but I’m sure he did when it was finished (and he’s not the only one) ![]()

(((Deb))) Don’t know what else to say really, can just imagine how very difficult it is.
Don’t know what else to say except the (admittedly fairly bracing) supportiveness of saying that you saw Henry through this bit, you knew it would come, it is therefore normal and it’s almost certainly going to be fine.
Lots of hugs. The minute he wants home, you can go and get him i guess but i expect once the poorlyness lifts, he’ll feel much more philosophical.
Hugs. (I’m So not capable of doing it, so i do admire you.)
((hugs)) Deb. It must be so hard. Merry is right tho - he will get through it.
Hope this passes quickly.
I hope so too.
