The Man on the Moon

How is it that they can put a man on the moon but they can’t invent a set of Christmas lights that works for more than one year? Or stock replacement bulbs this year for the sets they sold last year? Or standardise the *(^%# bulbs so that you don’t need sixteen different kinds of replacement (none of which will work anyway)?

Bah Humbug.

Bet the man on/in the moon doesn’t have these problems.

Even if you can find replacements, who has an hour to find the bad bulb when a new string is $4?

Oh for US prices… not $4 here, more like $40!

I have thought it might be a good idea to build a house here which is wired to 120V so that it could be stocked with North American appliances - the savings would be huge!

$4 wow. We have 6 sets accumulated over 10 years. Out of those 6 2 worked, one got fixed and one got trod on twice and binned. Two sets are waiting to be fixed. They never will but will get put away for next year to repeat the same performance:)
