Scary stories

Freddy started off last night tucked in bed beside me, because friend R was telling him and George scary stories. He came in looking slightly worried, explained that he was scared, I asked if he wanted to tell me the story (thinking that in telling it himself he might be able to take control of it, if you see what I mean), and he got two lines into it before shaking his head and saying, “Actually, no, it’s too scary, I don’t want to say it.”

Remember my headache on Friday/Saturday? Well, can you guess who was really really stupid and didn’t get to putting away the painkillers? And then can you guess who got hold of them yesterday? The answers to those questions are me and Jack respectively. There were only two ibuprofen left in the pack, and we found enough bits to make up one of them; whether he’s eaten the other, I don’t know. I was more concerned about the other pack that had been beside it, because it was paracetamol, but we found that pack intact. Never a dull moment.

We’re off shortly to collect a friend of mine from the railway station; I haven’t seen her in over a year and at that time things were slightly iffy with her, but she seems to want to forget all that so  She’s been a friend for a long time, so I’m sure it will be nice to see her. R is still here, so he’s coming with us, and since that leaves us a seat short in the car, Barney is staying at home. We’ll only be gone 20 or 30 minutes anyway. He wants to play Runescape while we’re gone - he’s quite the Runescape fiend these days. At the birthday party we attended on Saturday, he came downstairs to find me and tell me, “Daddy’s home” - Scratchy had been playing basketball. I thought he must have answered my mobile phone without me hearing it ring, but no, he’d been on the birthday girl’s computer, playing Runescape, and Scratchy had logged in when he got home - and got caught! LOL
