Nooooooooooo

I really really really really really really hope that Barney left the refrigerator door ajar last night after he got himself a drink.

Because if he didn’t, the butter and cheese etc are warm and soft and the milk is off and everything else is room-temperature because the refrigerator has broken down.

The door is now firmly closed, and I am leaving it that way until just before I have to go out, when I will nervously open it to see if the butter is any harder.

ARGH!

Uh-oh… sounds ominous. I do hope the door was left ajar, but wouldn’t have thought everything would get so warm.. or is it really hot at present? Fingers crossed anyway…

Really, really hot. Can’t speak for the western side of the Irish Sea, but here on the eastern side it’s been 32 degrees today, and a predicted 35 tomorrow… I can well imagine such temperatures creeping into an unsecured fridge and causing the milk to turn…

Yep, it’s really hot. Not as hot as where Ruth is, but still really hot - for here, anyway. And my kitchen faces east, so it gets all the sun in the morning. Which is much better than getting it in the evening when you’re trying to cook (btdt), but it would certainly have contributed to the melting-of-the-butter situation.
