My kid is home
Barney’s back from Camp
He had a very full weekend: tennis, swimming, golf, kayaking, building a fort (with a balcony on top!), doing a fun-run (well, fun-walk ;-)) and “several games of footie - that’s slang”
It all sounds great - but it’s the food that I want to go for - it sounds like it was piled high. I swear he looks fatter than he did when he left here on Friday!
He also managed to have hay-fever and to wake up this morning coughing and feverish - but no! no time to be ill! too much to do! - so he struggled on until he got in the car to come home, then promptly fell asleep.
He tells me he experienced a bit of bullying, when two boys tried to push him over while he was walking downhill during the fun-run
but he seems to have handled it well, pretty much ignoring them and then reporting it to the leaders - though there wasn’t much they could do, since he didn’t know their names
It didn’t spoil his weekend anyway
He says he missed Toby, and even missed Jack (”I missed being exasperated” LOL)
I’m glad to have him home ![]()
