Back to School!
No, not really
At least, not us. All the other local kids are back now though, so it’s very quiet.
We have done some “schoolwork” (I hate calling it that, or even “work” - anyone have any better suggestions?) today - Barney and George have each done some maths, French and history, and Freddy has done some maths and some more of his book about animals (which is mainly literacy - reading, writing, comprehension, the odd wordsearch etc). I’ve mainly got frustrated at not being able to use both hands, since Toby wants to nurse constantly (which is fine, I’m not bothered by that in itself, it’s just that when I need to write something….). We were going to go out for a walk, but Jack planted himself on the couch and fell asleep, so that was that out. Maybe when he wakes up.
Gotta go - Toby has had his fill of Barney and wants back to me ![]()

“Stuff”
Must admit i’m enjoying having two arms again these days!
Education? Learning? Studying?
Jax - nah, education and learning are things they do all the time, not just when it’s sit-down-and-answer-these-questions, y’know? And they frequently study things like dead rabbits on the road or weeds in the garden or suspicious-looking foodstuffs…none of which counts as “work”. Wish I could come up with a word that meant what I mean…
Merry - can I borrow one please?
No dear, cos then i’d be back down to 1. I’d need at least 3, and probably 4, to lend 1.
As my dad so helpfully told me when i was heavily pregnant last time, “you’ve made your bed…”
Charmed i’m sure
Hang on a minute…you only have to make the bed??????
That can’t be right, Merry. My bed hardly ever gets made, and I’ve got five kids!
