(Too) Active Baby
On Thursday, my baby had his/her head over my left hip and his/her bum under my right-side ribs. Today, the same baby has turned - 180 degrees. Now there’s a bum where there was a head, and a head where there was a bum.
I wouldn’t mind, if I weren’t 41 weeks and 6 days pregnant, but I do think it’s time my child got his/her act together.
I’m not concerned about being overdue - this is how I do pregnancy, after all. I’m more concerned that labour will start with the baby in a really awkward position. I’m not even particularly worried about birthing a breech baby - it’s just, well, it would be nice if some part was presenting…

Lots of sympathy; that is the angle Amelie was at, albeit head downwards not upwards and it was bloody uncomfortable apart from anything else!
You know you can do thing to turn the baby, right? I’m sure you do at this point but in case you need some pointers, http://www.spinningbabies.com
Merry - it’s actually pretty comfortable - no head in the middle of my chest to give me heartburn, and no bowling-ball-between-the-legs feeling either - but I would quite like to think the head would move in that general direction sometime soon!
Chasmyn - yep, I know lots of techniques for getting babies to move - has anybody got any techniques for getting them to *stop*?
Well, i’ve never really had the bowling ball thing much, but bum in my throat, i didn’t like.
bum bum bum… throat throat throat
Hmmm.. you didn’t have to let the second one through, i was just trying out the moderation
Oooh, can we test it then? Poohead. Heh.
ah, but Merry, it was so articulate and enlightening, I really didn’t want to deprive the world at large
June - just who are you calling Poohead? ‘Cause I’m 42 weeks pregnant tomorrow, y’know - there’s not a jury in the land would convict me…LOL
*LOL* Hmm, wellllll…better say I was calling Merry a poohead then ;oD
